In conjunction with National Dental Health Month, Dr. Sherri Weissman, an orthodontist in Inverness and Mountain Brook, hosted the fourth leap year appreciation bowling party for dentists and their staffs at Riverview Lanes on Feb. 24.
Weissmanʼs first leap year bowling tournament was held in 1996 and has become a tradition. Tournament trophies are presented to the teams in several categories and each office is awarded a trophy that best describes their team. Some categories include: highest personal scores, most unique form, highest team scores, most team spirit, most dangerous team, most crazy team and to the biggest losers.
The teams had a great time bowling, eating pizza and having fun. All are looking forward to the next leap year!
Weissman has had a private orthodontic practice for 18 years in Inverness, specializing in braces and Invisalign for children, teens, and adults. The new Mountain Brook office, called Great Smiles Orthodontics, will open in March.
