Spain Park High School football coach Chip Lindsey enjoyed a flight this week with none other than the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

“The local Navy recruiter, Ron Salesberry, recommended me for the ‘Key Influencer Flight,’” Lindsey said. “They do these rides during the week leading up to the show on the weekend.”

The Tuscaloosa Air Show will be held March 31 and April 1 at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport. This year’s show includes the Blue Angels, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the Firebirds XTreme Aerobatic Team and more. Gates open each day at 9 a.m., flying starts at 10:30 a.m., and the Blue Angels begin flying at 3 p.m. Admission is free for this family-friendly event.
